MUSC 1020Listening Journal Module 6
Assignment Instruction
Purpose of this Assignment
Apply music element knowledge to new listening experience and make academic opinions.
Instructions
Visit MUSC 1020: Hillbilly and Country Western YouTube Playlist
(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSMjPB1YhOz4ts_tLNYM7PSzm6eF_MmUS)
created by Krystal McCoy. Listen to the playlist and select 2 songs to discuss in your listening journal. Analyze each song and write about its music elements and how it impacts you as a listener. Write at least five complete sentences for each song.
NEW OPTION! I am open to creating new formats of listening journals this semester. I want you to use class vocabulary/content, and I support you sharing this content however you would like. For instance, instead of writing 5 sentences, you may want to create an infographic instead. I look forward to seeing what you will submit! You can always contact me ahead of time for advice.
